Dressage and Jumping Show

15 August – Paxton’s Field

It would have been nice to have had a few more entries, but with the recent heat and hard ground, this was understandable.

The evening was warm without being overly hot, which made a lovely change. Keith Miller was our dressage judge and did a superb job, providing some really helpful feedback. It is always useful to receive feedback from our judges so that we can continue practising and improving.

Mary and Mary did a wonderful job with the show jumping, and all the horses jumped well over the lovely old-turf course. The grass covered any areas of concern.

Thanks also go to members of our wonderful committee. Sadly, someone had to withdraw the day before, so I was able to take my boy to his first party. He was very well behaved in the relaxed atmosphere, which is what these shows are all about.
