PROTOCOL FOR WRC TRAINING DURING COVID--19 PANDEMIC

No one should book training if they are part of a vulnerable group, have any COVID symptoms or have been in contact with anyone with symptoms in the 14 days prior to the training session.

1.      All training must be paid in advance by BACS to HSBC Bank, Sort Code 40-27-56, Account 20019356,  Witheridge Riding Club with ref *name* + SouthcottXC

2.      Only 6 people can be on site to include the trainer. In larger venues participants can be accompanied provided social distancing can be maintained.

3.      Riders can only be accompanied by one other person. In the case that companions would take the group beyond the 6 person maximum, the companion must stay in their vehicle in the parking area, once the rider is mounted companions can observe the session in a location apart from the participants and in groups of no more than 6 people.

4.      Participants and companions should not touch anything unnecessary during their visit. Gates will be sanitised before and after sessions. Sanitiser is provided by Pontispool on site so everyone is to make use of this for the duration. The toilet block and café facility will remain closed.

5.      All people in the training area must use the hand sanitizer on arrival and on departure, as provided by Pontispool.

6.      All participants should arrive in time to prepare and mount but no earlier and should leave as soon as possible once the session is over.

7.      Participants should be capable of riding their horse for the intended activity and not require anyone else to hold or lead their horse at any time. No rider is to over-face their horse and Mary has the right to ask any participant to dismount if they feel they are not safe.

8.      The toilets and café are closed on site.

Show Jumping with Mary Baillie at Downe Farm, Witheridge, EX16 8QF

To be held over a full set of show jumps in the OUTDOOR ARENA

Show Jumping at Higher Mainstone, Ashford, Nr Barnstaple, EX31 4EL with Erica Oldham

£20 per person (max. group size 3) 

Individual sessions can also be requested at additional cost.

Higher Mainstone has an outdoor 70 x 30 sand and rubber school with a full set of show jumps.

Erica is a well known, qualified UK Level 3 coach, B.H.S.A.I., fully insured D.B.S. checked, child protection and first aid certified. Erica has coached successful affiliated dressage riders, International Event Riders and Show Jumpers. She also coaches at BS Junior Academy and Confidence Camps, so is well established at training all levels and abilities.

Structured Flatwork with Vanessa Cheffings at Downe Farm Livery Yard, Witheridge, EX16 8QF

An opportunity to get your mount working on the flat with some exercises and polework. I am sure Vanessa will have something interesting up her sleeve. Please don’t worry if you are very rusty and have not ridden much during lockdown. Vanessa has a wealth of training experience to her name, and herself in the past competed to Advanced Medium dressage and Novice eventing. She is more than happy to teach complete beginners to serious competitors.

Beginners Show Jumping with Sian Brown at Mill Barton, Witheridge 

These sessions are for beginners, rusty jockeys!!!! and rusty and green horses. Not suitable if you are capable of whizzing around Pontispool !!

Sian has endless patience with nervous riders and young horses, so come and join us.

 

There will be just 2 per group and a maximum of 3 x one hour sessions, but will carry on into June if the demand is there.

 

Cost is £16 per rider.
