Show Jumping with Tim Cheffings at Downe Farm, Witheridge 

To be held over a full set of show jumps 

Heights to suit all abilities

£18 per person for an hour session 

 

Friday 12th March – from 3pm onwards REF = TIM1 

Tues 30th March – 1pm to 4pm REF = TIM2

Friday 2nd April – from 3pm onwards REF = TIM3 

Tuesday 20th April – 1pm to 4pm REF = TIM4

PROTOCOL FOR WRC TRAINING DURING COVID--19 PANDEMIC

No one should book training if they are part of a vulnerable group, have any COVID symptoms or have been in contact with anyone with symptoms in the 14 days prior to the training session.

1.      All training must be paid in advance by BACS to HSBC Bank, Sort Code 40-27-56, Account 20019356,  Witheridge Riding Club with ref *name* + REF AS ABOVE 

2.      Only 6 people can be on site to include the trainer. In larger venues participants can be accompanied provided social distancing can be maintained.

3.      Riders can only be accompanied by one other person. In the case that companions would take the group beyond the 6 person maximum, the companion must stay in their vehicle in the parking area, once the rider is mounted companions can observe the session in a location apart from the participants and in groups of no more than 6 people.

4.      Participants and companions should not touch anything unnecessary during their visit. Gates will be sanitised before and after sessions. Gates will only be touched by the instructor, Tim, during the course of the session. Jumps may only be altered by Tim also.

5.      All people in the training area must use the hand sanitizer on arrival and on departure.

6.      All participants should arrive in time to prepare and mount but no earlier and should leave as soon as possible once the session is over.

7.      Participants should be capable of riding their horse for the intended activity and not require anyone else to hold or lead their horse at any time.

8.      Do not use the toilet on site (if there is one) unless absolutely necessary.

Please read this protocol before booking and include a note to the effect that you have read and agree to these arrangements.

Pontispool meanders through the parkland of Monty's Court and traditional Somerset countryside. The terrain is mildly undulating and the old turf provides good going throughout most of the year. The course is fully accredited by British Eventing, the Riding Club and the Pony Club.

  • Set in 200 acres of parkland

  • In excess of 200 fences, including ditches, banks and steps

  • 3 water complexes

  • 2 quarry complexes

  • All-weather take offs and landings at permanent fences

  • Well built solid obstacles to British Eventing standard

  • Open fences: 85cm to 1.15m

  • Novice fences: 70cm to 80cm

  • Minimus fences: 40cm to 60cm

  • BE 80 - BE Intermediate courses

  • Old turf provides good going

  • Ground aerovated for competition
